The Truffle Valley Boys (IT) @ 15u30

(Bluegrass/Old Skool)

Founded in 2014 by Matt Ringressi and american roots music veteran Ruben Minuto (who continues to collaborate with the band occasionally), the Truffle Valley Boys have placed themselves at the forefront of the Blue Grass music scene in Europe. They perform authentic Blue Grass in the most uncompromising way, around a single microphone and using period instrumentation, with the utmost attention to musical and aesthetic details, a fiery drive and a healthy dose of good-natured entertainment! With thousands of miles traveled each year headlining major festivals and events, the band has won unanimous approval all over Europe for their live performances, and their records have received worldwide airplay and enthusiastic reviews on publications like Bluegrass Unlimited and Bluegrass Today...the Boys are even featured in a permanent exibith at the Bluegrass Music Hall Of Fame And Museum in Owensboro, KY!
The Truffle Valley Boys' show is a real throwback to era gone by, and their music is a tribute to the genuine, raw and powerful sounds of the more obscure regional Blue Grass acts of the 1950s...full steam ahead, indeed!

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra (UK) @ 15u30

(Western Swing/Old Skool)

Rob Heron & The Tea Pad Orchestra have been gleefully trampling over genre boundaries for over a decade now, chucking Western Swing, Blues, Country, Rock & Roll, Soul and more into their musical gumbo, but always sounding mostly just like themselves. Based in Newcastle but hailing from across the UK, the Tea Pad have released four albums before their new The Party’s Over set, and toured across the British Isles and Europe, playing everywhere from Glastonbury and Cambridge Folk Festival to village halls and barns, and all points in between. They’ve done support tours for big-name Americana outfits such as Pokey LaFarge, The Dead South, and Sierra Ferrell, released music on German label Migraine Records, appeared three times on Radio 4’s Loose Ends, and had their music played by everyone from Marc Riley to Huey Morgan.

Wednesday 14 August 2024:

Alex Williams (USA) @ 21u30

(Honky Tonk/Outlaw Country)

Alex Williams is a part of a neo-traditionalist country music that surfaced in the wake of Jamey Johnson's success in the early 2010s. Like Chris Stapleton and Sturgill Simpson, Williams uses the outlaw country of the '70s as a primary text, finding his own voice within the music of Nashville renegades like Waylon Jennings and Texas mavericks like Jerry Jeff Walker -- a skill that's apparent on his 2017 debut Better Than Myself. A native of Pendleton, Indiana, Williams grew up listening to '80s metal, eventually gravitating toward classic country when he was in his late teens. He enrolled in Nashville's Belmont University after graduating from high school, but he soon dropped out of college and began gigging in the Music City, sometimes drifting back to his home state of Indiana, sometimes getting down to Texas. Williams wound up leading his own band and their constant gigging brought them to the attention of Julian Raymond, a producer who also worked A&R at Big Machine Records. He signed Williams separately from the band, taking him into the studio with a star-studded backing band that included J.T. CorenflosMatt Rollings, and Victor Indrizzo to record his debut album. The resulting Better Than Myself was released in August 2017.

Sunday 29 september 2024:

Whiskeydick & James Hunnicutt (USA) @ 15u30

(Honky Tonk/Outlaw Country/Singer Songwriter)

No introducing needed with these folks but here we go with a little bio.

Cult favorites WhiskeyDick blow minds with a double barrel blast of dreadnaught shredding and hillbilly bellowing that makes you want to knock back a shot, stand up tall, and holler "Oh-Hell-YeeHaw!"
The Fort Worth duo carry on the Texas traditions of super-powered guitar slinging and clever songwriting that make lone star music a worldwide curiosity, except Reverend Johnson will remind you more of Dimebag Darrell than Billy Gibbons and Fritz remains more lyrically akin to David Allen Coe than Robert Earl Keen. WhiskeyDick's live show is a true spectacle: two giant, tattooed, mean-looking dudes saunter on stage and sit down on 2 chairs, then pick up acoustic guitars and proceed to amaze everyone by generating more power than a full band by means of Fritz's deep, rich vocals, Johnson's unapproachable acoustic guitar heroics, and their triumphant songwriting. "We're just a train robbin', gun totin', dope smokin', guitar pickin' muthafuckin' good time band. Taking hillbilly music and spreading it across the land."

Hello! My name is James Hunnicutt & welcome to this website!

I am a singer/songwriter, author, Mala maker from the Pacific Northwest & an advocate for the rights & well being of all beings(planet & animals too!) I believe that we are forever connected in our stories & iterally bound by the same basic needs & interests while simultaneously tied to one another's fate as well. Though beautifully unique, I have discovered we are far less different than the wealthy elite/propagandists who run our fear based media sources would have us believe. It is generally under the veil of inequality, neglect, a lack of education/culturing & abuse(physical, mental, chemical, etc.) that our less than desirable attributes begin to emerge & take hold of our lives. When the basic needs of food, shelter, health & a sense of purpose/direction/education are met, this journey continually reminds me that people inherently want & will try to do GOOD. Beyond these shared needs, I have also found no greater medicine for what ails us, than music, art & living a life infused with love. My goal is simple- to cultivate this awareness, touch upon it & pay/share it forward in every song, album, bracelet, Mala, art piece & show that I am fortunate enough to take part of in this world. Whether you agree with me, enjoy what you find here & choose to support my journey or not, I sincerely hope that you carry, or will soon find a similar realization & motivation in your own life. I wish you the best, my friends- Love & Light to you, always & thank you for stopping by! James
